Asset Management Solution for Ports and Container Terminals Seminar 2015

Thursday, June 11, 2015, TALIAN as an IBM Business Partner with AVNET and BPD Zenith organized the event “Asset Management Solution for Ports and Container Terminals”, which is held at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta. Indonesia has more than 2,400 ports and container terminals spread across the Archipelago. These ports and terminals play a vital role in serving sea trade within Indonesia and across the trading partners in the Asia Pacific region and beyond. Seeing this challenge, Joko Widodo, the President of Indonesia, has initiated a “Sea Toll Road” maritime program to connect these hubs, with the aim of reducing the high cost of logistics and adoption of increased productivity and efficiencies.

The strategic national objective is to encourage Indonesia to become a global maritime axis and to establish an international hub for sea trade within Indonesia. Ports and container terminals, are asset intensive organizations. Their core business is to ensure an efficient movement of vessels and containers for global customers.

Thank you so much for participating in our event as a speaker: Tony Serena (IBM Executive – Asia Pacific), Graeme Sharp (CEO BPD Zenith – Australia), Deven Chhaya (IBM EAM Senior Consultant – Singapore) and Bp Amin Jamal (IT Manager – Terminal Petikemas Surabaya).
